Dr. Richard Shinto Leadership Role Proves to Be Pivotal for InnovaCare Health

Dr. Richard Shinto was appointed to the role of President and CEO for InnovaCare Health after being hired in 2012. InnovaCare Health is the leading and foremost provider of Medicaid and Medicare government health plans. The healthcare company also has an enormous network of physician services.

 

With a medical degree from the University of New York, Dr. Shinto has a wide range of medical experience and a resume that is impressive. His specialty in the medical profession was a pulmonologist. He received a Master’s Degree from the University of Redlands. Dr. Shinto has also written a variety of articles in the area of medicine and health-related topics. His leadership role in InnovaCare has been credited with the many changes that have positioned the company to expand and bring changes to patient care that has not only been quality-based but also cost-efficient.

 

Prior to accepting the lead position for Innovacare Health, Dr. Shinto held the position of President and CEO for Aveta Inc., and he was also the Chief Medical Officer of NAMM in California. In 2012, Dr. Shinto was chosen for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which recognized him for having success through innovative ideas and a commitment to business success.

 

Dr. Shinto’s leadership team includes Penelope Kokkinides, Chief Administrative Officer, who has over 20 years of experience in government programs. Kokkinides joined InnovaCare Health after departing from AmeriChoice, where she was the Executive Vice President in charge of the managed care division. Prior to that tenure, she held an executive position with Touchtone Health Company. Her Master’s Degree was received from Columbia University. Since joining InnovaCare Health, Kokkinides was selected as a panelist to discuss government health plans with the Trump Administration.

 

The leadership style of Dr. Shinto inspires his team to reach higher and to take risks that are geared towards making the patients success – the company’s success.
